Adam Lambert wants Leonardo DiCaprio play him in movie - New Kerala

London, April 27 : "No Boundaries" hitmaker Adam Lambert wants actor Leonardo DiCaprio to play him in a movie on his life.

The "American Idol" runner up thinks the Hollywood heartthrob would be perfect to portray him on the big screen if his life was ever deemed worthy of a biopic.

"I have always thought that Leonardo DiCaprio is a really good actor - he could play me, he could get intense," contactmusic.com quoted him as saying.

He also revealed he would love to work with English musician David Bowie in the future, if the legend could be tempted out of exile.

"To be able to work with David Bowie would be amazing - his imagination and creativity are beyond, he's an icon," he said.

The Avengers (2012) Movie Rumors - Associated Content

Posted: 26 Apr 2010 05:45 PM PDT

With all of the success of recent Marvel movies such as Iron Man and the Incredible Hulk there are big plans on the horizon. Over the course of the next year Iron Man 2, Thor and Captain America will lay the groundwork for a major superhero movie. Here today I want to talk about some of movie rumors going around concerning the future Avengers film set to come out in 2012.

Obviously there were already some hints dropped in both Iron Man and the Incredible Hulk about a potential Avengers movie in the near future. Well that has since been confirmed as Joss Wheldon has signed on as the director with Zak Penn writing the script. The Avengers movie rumors have slowly been turning into facts as more and more information has been released regarding the cast and plans for the storyline.

One of the biggest pieces of information fueling Avengers movie rumors was the casting of Captain America. In the comics the masked soldier was the leader of the group and a symbol of the greatness of the United States. He not only had impressive physical tools but all the characteristics of a great leader. For those reasons this role was thought to be extremely important for the success of both movies. It shouldn't be a shock that many fans have been slow to welcome Chris Evans to the role. It's hard to imagine him having a commanding presence over actors such as Robert Downey Jr. or Ed Norton.

There is a rumor going around here lately that addresses that very notion mentioned above of Chris Evans not having the acting chops to lead such a group. There is a belief out there that Iron Man will be the leader in the Avengers movie instead of Captain America. This would seemingly make sense seeing that Iron Man is already a motion picture success at the box office and his character is a wealthy character whose opinion already has some global clout. If you remember it was Tony Stark that went out seeking the Incredible Hulk for the group.

Movie review: Lopez flawless in ‘The Back-up Plan' - Asheville Citizen-Times

Posted: 24 Apr 2010 09:01 PM PDT

"The Back-up Plan" gets sitcommy early and often, and just for good measure, throws in old TV favorites Tom Bosley and Linda Lavin in brief roles.

But regardless of their presence, or that of the appealing (and frequently shirtless) Alex O'Loughlin in his first leading-man role, this is a vehicle for Jennifer Lopez, who is front and center and looking flawless at all times.

The first time we see her character, Zoe, she's at the doctor's office with her feet in the stirrups being artificially inseminated, wearing false eyelashes and perfect lip gloss. In case we couldn't possibly imagine what she's thinking, the script from Kate Angelo (a former sitcom writer) offers this helpful voiceover nugget: "Oh, God, I hope this works. I've wanted this for so long."

After years of looking for the right guy, Zoe is prepared to have a baby on her own, only to meet and fall for the hunky Stan (O'Loughlin) just as she discovers she's pregnant.

"The Back-up Plan" actually could have been helpful in addressing a situation in which many women find themselves: wanting to be mothers, but unwilling to settle to be with the wrong man to accomplish that goal.

Instead, it presents the fellow members of Zoe's single mothers' group as tattooed, fringy freaks.

Grade: B –

"The Back-up Plan" is rated PG-13 for sexual content. It's showing at the Biltmore Grande and Carmike in Asheville and Epic in Hendersonville.
