| Kelly Osbourne lands first major movie role - MSN India Posted: 24 Aug 2010 07:41 PM PDT London, Aug 25 (PTI) Rocker Ozzy Osbourne''s daughter Kelly has landed her first starring role in a new film.
The 25-year-old, who had earlier dabbled in music and television, will play a "crazy groupie" in the film ''Should Have Been Romeo'', reported Daily Mail online.
"I got my first movie role. We have been in rehearsals for a week and I start filming on Wednesday. I could not be happier," Osbourne wrote on Twitter.
"The movie is called "Should of been Romeo" [sic] it''s a comedy and I play the role of Nicole who is a crazy groupie! It''s amazingly funny," she added.
Prior to her good news, it had been a tough time for Kelly.
The reality star split up with her 20-year-old fiance Luke Worrall amid reports that he cheated with a female model and she returned home from a vacation in Las Vegas to discover her beloved dog, Woody dead.
Kelly first shot to fame on TV, appearing with her famous parents Sharon and Ozzy, and brother Jack, on their hit show, ''The Osbournes''. The refreshing thing about this thread is there's been no actual bashing towards her and her humanitarian work... which is nice (knew we had a great crowd on here). She and Brad in ONE year alone donated $8.9million to charities. And all these 2 get from the internet public on other sites is bashed for it. 'Oh, they're doing it for attention' (WTF?! - MOVIES gets them attention AND cash - they do this charitable stuff because they want to give back!). Yep... were that game on, I think people on here would make an effort of offer a OBJECTIVE review offering BOTH pros and cons of a movie. What we get from DP: Sex and the City 2, Eat, Pray Love, etc. 8-10/10 Movies like: Inception and The Expendables - 3/10 - and considering public opinion re: ticket sales (and that's what really talks in business), and his complete MISS by NOT giving Stallone and The Expendables CREDIT DESERVED for reaching their intended goal of paying homage to 80's action films (explosions, good/bad one-liners, from sub-par to excellent performances (like Mickey's in that movie), etc. is such an oversight by a 'professional movie critic' (which is an oxymoron unto itself/himself) - looses ALL creditability with me. I believe MANY on here has the writing chops to craft a objective movie review for ALL movies... even for the chick flicks. It's not my $'s... but if this site or ANY other is paying a penny for DP's 'professional reviews' - it's too much.

| Future Movie About Natalee Holloway and Joran Van Der Sloot? - Associated Content Posted: 22 Aug 2010 02:00 PM PDT The news is hush hush where Joran van der Sloot is concerned these days, and the news that surrounds the disappearance of Natalee Holloway remains even quieter. Radio Netherlands Worldwide (RNW) reports that a Dutch film director, Paul Ruven, is making a film about Joran van der Sloot and Natalee Holloway. RNW reports Ruven as saying that we still don't know what happened to Natalee Holloway because "all the parties concerned are putting their own interests first." No surprise here. Isn't this what typically happens when a crime occurs? According to RNW, the film brings up lots of unanswered questions, such as why have we not yet found Natalee Holloway's body, and why has Joran van der Sloot not been convicted of any crime. People Magazine answers this question in one of their articles when they say that the police failed to hold the evidence to "detain him further or bring him to trial." Still, RNW asks about any crime, and surely with all of Joran van der Sloot's lying, he could be proven guilty of some crime. This isn't the biggest trouble with this future movie about Joran van der Sloot and Natalee Holloway, though. The film seems to outline Joran van der Sloot truthfully, as he's played himself out in the media. According to RNW, the film depicts Joran van der Sloot as "a rich white youth with influential parents, who flouts the law." Okay, so we can agree with this depiction, right? How about Natalee Holloway, though? RNW says that the movie discounts the idea that Natalee Holloway was "some kind of holy virgin, an innocent girl." RNW reports Ruven as saying, "The truth is that Natalee had a nose full of cocaine that night, was blind drunk and had been chasing blokes for days."
