This year some of the more popular costumes for children will more than likely be based on some of the more popular kid geared movies released. For the boys, Iron Man, Buzz Lightyear, and dragons or dragon trainers will probably top the list. Based on some of the characters from top movies this year, Iron Man 2, Toy Story 3 and How to Train Your Dragon. Toy Story 3 Grossed an amazing $896 million (worldwide) making it the highest grossing animated film to date. Costumes at the top of the list for a lot of girls will be, Alice, Princess Fiona, and good ol' cowgirl Jessie. Characters from box office hits this year, Alice in Wonderland, Shrek Forever After, and again Toy Story 3. Just trailing behind Toy Story 3 at the box office is Shrek Forever After, at over $664 million so far this year. There is no doubt that there will be a lot of hard decisions for little ones to make in the stores costume isle this year.

A movie favorite among our young teens and adults has also reinforced some of our old time favorite villains, vampires and werewolves. With the newest release in the Twilight saga, 'Eclipse', and the box office totals of $667,018,322 (worldwide), promises to have our streets and doorsteps lined with these creatures of the night. Some other popular costumes for the teens will be mad hatters, last airbenders, and the ever popular zombie. Costumes inspired by the hit movies 'Alice in Wonderland', 'The Last Air Bender', and 'Crazies'. No matter what your teen picks for his or her costume this year, you can almost guarantee that it will be a costume related to a teen fav movie.

Jennifer Aniston to get topless & dirty in new Wanderlust movie gig. According to celebrity-gossip.net and other sources, hot movie star Jennifer Aniston will be getting a little spicier in her next movie role for a movie entitled, "Wanderlust." They say that Jennifer has signed on to star in the Wanderlust movie, and it will have her going topless.

In the new flick, Jennifer's character will decide that she's had enough of the New York City life, and leaves town to live in a hippie community. They report that Jennifer will also take part in a threesome with two other women in the new movie, have multiple sex partners, and indulge in drug use. Whoa! Hello, that sounds very interesting. Sounds like Jennifer is trying to expand her career to steamier heights or something.

"Wanderlust" doesn't yet have a release date. However, others stars scheduled to be in the movie are: Paul Rudd and Justin Theroux. It will be directed by David Wain, and is a Universal Pictures Studio production. The New York Daily News recently reported that Jennifer is supposed to do full frontal nudity in the film, but they also say her representative denies that report. Either way, I'm game. Movie review: Takers - Democrat and Chronicle

Posted: 27 Aug 2010 04:57 AM PDT

Takers is a slickly efficient cops-and-robbers yarn, largely uncomplicated yet offering a few moments of insight and dramatic weight.

It will remind many of Michael Mann's Heat, but because it lacks that film's grandiose ambitions, it actually feels more realistic.

Our protagonists are the members of a well-heeled gang of bank robbers. Led by the scrupulously careful Jennings (Idris Elba), this band employs high-tech savvy and old-fashioned audaciousness.

They plan their heists with military precision and pride themselves on hurting no one. They do only one job a year, leaving plenty of time to indulge in their other enterprise, a fancy nightclub frequented by L.A.'s rich and powerful.

The gang members aren't your typical street thugs. They live in Architectural Digest high-rise apartments, affect the sartorial style of a latter-day Rat Pack and avoid the spotlight. They're gentleman bank robbers.

On their tail is a rogue cop, Welles (Matt Dillon), and his partner (Jay Hernandez). An obsessive lawman who bends and sometimes breaks the rules, Welles is a magnet for Internal Affairs investigators. But he's also a tireless pursuer who can assemble far-flung bits of evidence to create a bigger picture.

The story (the primary writer is Peter Allen, a former staff photographer at The Kansas City Star) is kicked into action by the arrival in town of Ghost (rapper Tip "T.I." Harris), a former gang member who has just completed a long prison sentence.

Now Ghost comes to his old partners with a scheme to rob an armored truck. They protest that they won't have time to properly plan, but Ghost counters that he did his jail stint without giving up the rest of them. Now they owe him.

Takers features a couple of breathlessly executed big-action scenes, but most impressive is the lived-in feel generated by unknown director John Luessenhop and his deep cast. There's a satisfying crime procedural atmosphere to the movie.

There's a danger here of overselling Takers. It's not a work of much substance, just a fairly simple yarn convincingly acted and smartly paced.

Sometimes that's enough.

Rated: PG-13 for intense sequences of violence and action, a sexual situation/partial nudity and some language. Running time: 107 minutes.
