Filming continued in Northside on Thursday morning for the new George Clooney movie, "The Ides Of March."

Crews filmed exteriors of the Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky International Airport in Hebron on Wednesday.

A film crew arrived in Northside just after 8 a.m. to film more exteriors near Shake It Records. Clooney himself made an appearance just before 10 a.m.

Clooney's father, Nick, also showed up, and the two shared a hug.

"It's just wonderful, it's a good excuse to get together, even in frigid weather, you know," Nick Clooney said.

Among those in the crowd in Northside was George Clooney's young nephew, who said Clooney called his mother and suggested he come down to be in a scene of the film.

"I was just an extra who stood on the corner of the street out there," Nick Zeidler, 14, said. "(George) said it's not that hard and just to stand there and all I had to do was talk and it was just supposed to be fun and don't think too much about it," Nick Zeidler said.

"We all joked around with him and said ,'Now you're going to need an agent because you're a big movie star,'" Nick's sister Alison Zeidler said.

Filming wrapped up outside the Ace Hardware on Hamilton Avenue a short time later, and the crew moved to another location in Northside.

"George Clooney was in today. People came last night to clean the windows, and today they took the pictures," the store's owner, William Dickhaus, said.

Dickhaus said ever since the lights and camera pulled away, his customers can't help but ask details about the experience.

"I think we're going to be extra busy for a while," he said.

Clooney reportedly chose small local stores to shoot his scenes, delighting his Cincinnati fans.

"I've been here all my life, and I really think its going to improve the whole community around here," second-hand store owner Vickie Arrequin said. "I have got autographs with all of them. I took a picture with George Clooney's mother. I met his sister. It's just been a barrel of fun his morning."

The Internet Movie Database said the film is about "An idealistic staffer for a newbie presidential candidate gets a crash course on dirty politics during his stint on the campaign trail."

Clooney plays Governor Mike Morris. Other stars in the film include Ryan Gosling, Marisa Tomei, Evan Rachel Wood and Paul Giamatti.

Clooney has scouted several shooting locations in the Tri-State, including Lunken Field, Memorial Hall and the Miami University campus.

Street parking was prohibited on Hamilton Avenue in Northside until 5 p.m. Thursday.

Clooney and his crew are set to film for another three to four weeks in Northside.

Hayden Panettiere Urges Amanda Knox Family To Watch TV Movie - Post Chronicle

Posted:

Actress Hayden Panettiere has urged the family of incarcerated Amanda Knox to watch her controversial new TV movie, insisting they'll feel "more relaxed" about the program once they view it.

Knox was left shocked after seeing a trailer for Amanda Knox: Murder on Trial in Italy, in which the Heroes actress plays the college student convicted of killing her roommate Meredith Kercher in 2007.

The preview depicts Knox taking an active role in the murder, with a police official claiming she "orchestrated" the crime as part of a kinky sex game.

Lawyers for the jailed American student have threatened legal action against bosses at U.S. network Lifetime if they air the film, which is due to be screened on 21 February (11), amid speculation it could affect her ongoing appeal.

But Panettiere has appealed to Knox and her family to watch the show - she's convinced nothing will "sway" or "impact negatively" on court proceedings.

She tells Etonline.com, "It is very fact driven and Lifetime is great with doing things like that and fact checking. I don't think there is anything in there that would sway an opinion or have any impact negatively or positively on her appeal.

"I think if the family saw it, they would probably be much more relaxed then they are about it now. Maybe the parents would. I don't know if she would or not. I don't know if that would be a good idea to have to relive the whole experience of it. That is up to her." (c) WENN
