Les grossman Tom Cruise probably undid 10 years of bad press with his alter-ego performance as Tropic Thunder's "Les Grossman" at Sunday night's MTV Movie Awards, so what's the next obvious step? A Les Grossman movie, of course.

Cruise told E! News backstage that a Grossman movie is coming soon. "Yup, we're working on it," he said.

The role comes from 2008's Tropic Thunder, where Cruise played an ego-crazed media mogul by climbing into mountains of makeup, fake arm and chest hair and four-lettered vitriol. Cruise stole the movie despite only having a few minutes of screen time. He even scored a Golden Globes best supporting actor nomination for his work.

Cruise reprised the role for a series of MTV ads promoting their movie awards, which were -- wink, wink -- "produced" by Les Grossman (giving him a chance to take the stage for a bawdy number with Jennifer Lopez).

And if you're wondering where Cruise picked up his dancing skills, E! News had the scoop on that too. It was from his wife Katie Holmes' choreographer, Tyce Diorio. Please, please, please, don't let his butt-slapping move become the next big thing.

Snooki, of MTV's Jersey Shore co-hosted the 2010 MTV Movie Awards with MTV New's Sway, taking every opportunity to interview celebrities, including High School Musical Star Vanessa Hudgens. "You two are so cute together," Snooki told Hudgens, in reference to her relationship with Zac Efron, before adding "you're so gorgeous you look amazing tonight."

Katy Perry soon joined in on the conversation, telling Snooki that she, Snooki and Sway should "have a threesome," something Snooki explained she "wasn't scared to follow through with."

But the best was yet to come from Snooki. MTV reports that "the sexiest action on the red carpet occurred off-camera, as MTV's reporters on the ground witnessed a big kiss between Snooki and her Jersey Shore co-star Jenni "JWoww" Farley."

Although they didn't all have as quite a good a time as Snooki and JWoww, the entire cast of Jersey Shore was thrilled to be at the MTV Movie Awards. "This is amazing," commented Pauly D. "Never in our wildest dreams did we expect this."

Katy Perry brings the beach to the MTV Movie Awards with “California Gurls” performance - Examiner

It was great to see Katy Perry perform at the MTV Movie Awards. Both Perry and Christina Aguilera managed to implement their personality in great performances that didn't include fake blood, little monsters or two feet high platform shoes.

(Watch Christina's live medley here)

I say that with kindness as there is no actual critique of other performers and their antics. It's just nice to see that the musical industry (and responding public) still has room for others outside of Gaga.

This performance of "California Gurls" was Katy Perry approved. Blue wigs, bubbly colors and dance routines and a great opening gimmick. Katy "surfing" through the air was pretty great, as were the fake-ocean stage, the beach balls in the audience and the cute ending "Greetings from California!".

Watch the performance here:

The song should enjoy a bump on the charts and perhaps climb to #1 on the Hot 100. The video of the song will premiere soon and Katy's new album is expected to drop in the fall.
